Following the overwhelming interest and positive feedback from our first American Sign Language (ASL) workshop in collaboration with SDHHS (Saskatchewan Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services), Inspired 2 Uplift (I2U) USask is excited to announce that we will be hosting another session soon ✨
Our previous workshop brought students together to learn foundational ASL skills, explore Deaf culture, and build awareness around communication accessibility. The strong turnout and engagement demonstrated a clear interest within the USask community to continue learning and fostering more inclusive spaces.
In response to this demand, we are bringing the workshop back to provide another opportunity for students, staff, and faculty to gain basic and more hands-on ASL knowledge where you will learn abput basic communication and more, also deepen your understanding of accessibility and inclusion.
Can’t make it in person? No worries! Our session will be hybrid so you can attend the session via zoom too!!
Stay tuned for more details. We look forward to learning together again!
Inspired 2 Uplift endeavours to support youth with disabilities while also educating and raising awareness about disability-related issues among the younger generation and erasing the stigma around disability. We're a movement built by youth, for youth, transforming empathy into action, and creating a more inclusive world, chapter by chapter, student by student. Click Here to Read More
